QuoteEZ
Terms of use
1. This agreement
These terms are an agreement between IDEAS IT PTY LTD (ABN 30 622 032 099), the maker of QuoteEZ ("we", "us"), and the business that uses QuoteEZ ("you"). By creating an account or using QuoteEZ, you agree to them. If you accept on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these terms.
2. Accounts and logins
- Each person who uses QuoteEZ needs their own login. Don't share logins.
- You decide who in your business can use QuoteEZ and what each person can do, and you are responsible for what they do in it.
- Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
3. Free trial and subscription
- A new business gets a 30-day free trial. No card is needed to start.
- The trial is for trying QuoteEZ. Test as much as you like, but use it for testing only: what you record during the trial is not carried over when you start paying.
- Estimates, invoices and emails made during the trial are marked "TRIAL" and are not valid estimates or tax invoices.
- When you start paying, your account starts fresh, with your own starting numbers for estimates, jobs and invoices. The trial's records are deleted 30 days later.
- If you don't continue after the trial, the account is locked and its records are deleted 30 days after the trial ends.
- Prices are shown on our website and in the app, in Australian dollars, excluding GST (shown as "+ GST"). GST is added to each payment and shown on your tax invoice. We give at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to you.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled.
4. AI credits
- Reading vehicle details from photos and turning voice estimates into text use AI credits, bought in advance in Australian dollars.
- Each reading takes its own price from your credit. Current prices per reading are shown in the app.
- Each person has a daily limit on readings, which depends on your plan. It protects you from unexpected costs.
- Credit doesn't expire while your account exists, including while it is paused. When you come back, it's still there.
- Credit ends only when the account is deleted. We email you before then.
- Unused credit can't be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires it.
5. Your business's information
- Your business owns the information it puts into QuoteEZ. You allow us to store and process it only to provide QuoteEZ to you.
- You are responsible for having your customers' permission to record their information, including licence photos and signatures for loan cars, and for telling them how you use it.
- You are responsible for your documents: your prices, GST and the details on your tax invoices.
- You can export your documents while your account is open.
6. Checking what QuoteEZ produces
- Readings from photos and voice estimates can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them. The app shows each reading for you to confirm.
- Loan car agreements and other wording QuoteEZ provides are a starting point, not legal advice. Have them checked by your own lawyer before you use them.
7. Using QuoteEZ fairly
Don't use QuoteEZ to:
- break the law, or record information you have no right to hold;
- send spam. QuoteEZ sends one document at a time to at most three addresses;
- try to get into another business's information or another person's account;
- copy, resell or take apart the software, or overload it on purpose.
8. Connected services
If you connect your email, Xero, QuickBooks or your bank feed, your use of those services is also covered by their own terms. We are not responsible for them, and a service may stop working with QuoteEZ if its provider changes it.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep QuoteEZ fast and available, and we back it up every day. It may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or because of faults outside our control. The apps keep working without signal and send your work when the connection is back. We may improve and change features over time.
10. Consumer law and liability
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, it is limited to supplying the service again, or refunding what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, to the extent the law allows.
11. Pausing, cancelling and suspension
- Monthly plans can be paused at any time, for example between hail seasons. Pausing is free: nothing is charged while you are paused.
- While paused, you can sign in and look at your records, but you can't create or change anything. To work again, start paying again; everything is as you left it.
- If a payment isn't made for 30 days, the account is paused automatically.
- Yearly plans give 12 months for the price of 11 and can't be paused during the paid year.
- A paused account is kept for 5 years, so you can come back and meet your record-keeping obligations. We then delete it, after emailing you. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you time to fix it.
12. General
- We may update these terms. We will tell you in the app at least 30 days before a significant change applies.
- These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
